Hollywood, Florida: Talk about a swinging partnership…September 12, 2009 Hillcrest Country Club’s teaming up with local outreach program; Harvest Fire International Outreach Ministries to change lives! Come be a part of a community promoting advancement. One of their subsidiaries, Harvest Fire Family Enrichment Center is having their Annual Golf Tournament; it’s in full effect and on the ball! What makes this year’s tournament a hole-in-one? Besides the fact that all proceeds go to the outreach program- which is geared toward empowering the local community by providing vital services that enhance the quality of life through educational, social and recreational programs. The tournament also gives back to golfers in prizes, for helping support their local community thrive.
Prizes range from a $10,000 cash prize, a Cleveland Wedge 588, Mac Gregor Driver, a Set of Callaway Big Bertha Irons, Sharp LCD Flat Screen TV and a round trip domestic air fare for two! The prizes have all been donated by supporting sponsors ready to give back to those who give.
About HFFEC:
Since its rebirth in 2003, Harvest Fire Family Enrichment Center (HFFEC) of Miami Gardens Florida has served over 200 individuals and families through its various programs. Through the education branch alone, HFFEC has enrolled numerous students in the popular GED program and have assisted many to become computer literate through their Computer Literacy Program. The FCAT Program successfully helps students pass the FCAT exam, which allows them to move on to higher grade levels, and eventually graduation! One of the busiest programs in the Enrichment Center is the Food Bank. The Food Bank distributes groceries to approximately 250 families in the neighborhood on a weekly basis. That’s a lot of meals!
All of these community services are important, but without sponsors and awareness-it’s an uphill battle. This years’ Annual Golf Tournament will not only help to raise awareness and fund this important organization, but golfers are certain to have a good time, win some fun prizes and GIVE BACK!
