In observation of Texas Wine Month this October, local furniture designer, Pamela Halverson of Texas Tuscan Furniture Designs in Houston Texas is showcasing the finer things in Texas living-all found right here in our own backyard.
On October 20th 2009 from 4p-7p,Texas Tuscan will be featuring Houston’s finest! Showcasing top designers-both in furniture design and interior design. These experts will discuss decorating tips, room layouts, and the latest in Texas Decor. A Texas wine symposium presented by Fall Creek Vineyards, a Texas winery from Austin and local food sensation Mandy Bennett from d’lish Catering will be on hand to tempt your taste buds and dish up the latest in Texas Cuisine and Wines. Fall Creek Vineyards champion selection, MERITUS is not only critically acclaimed, but has been described as “the finest wine red or white ever produced in the state of Texas” and “MERITUS honors the best of Texas wine” by a noted author and wine writer. By combining Fall Creek and d’lish, who was recently highlighted on Fox 26 for serving up the most original dishes creates a celebration in itself. d’lish will have sampling and selling “d’lish dips” such as; Sun Dried Tomato Dip, Gorgonzola Dip & Cayenne Pepper Toasts, all products can be found at Downtown Spec’s! Merging the two with Houston’s top designers, over the top gift bags, fine furniture, art and an A list guest list, and you’ve got Houston’s first Toast To Texas!
Furniture Designer, Pamela Halverson wants to create a true Texas experience which allows her guests to mingle with Houston’s finest designers, and experience the unique culture lifestyles that Texas has to offer. “There are so many unknown treasures from right here in Texas, I want to show my clients and guests that they don’t need go looking any further than our backyards!” Says Pamela about her original idea of this showcasing. “We want to inspire our guests with new decorating ideas, especially for the Holidays that are quickly approaching. If they leave here with a new outlook on design, and a Texas sense of pride-then we were successful!”

About Pamela Halverson
Pamela is the designer of the Texas Tuscan Furniture collection and founder of Texas Tuscan Furniture Designs. Her travels around the world work as her inspiration for her furniture designs. “ I observed in my travels people who live in tune with the earth whether in the Mediterranean, South East Asia or the Middle East share a similar quality to their life. I found a creative beauty in the organic objects in their lives.”
She started designing furniture in 1994, and began working with interior designs in 1996. She has experience with interior design projects both residential and commercial in the USA and abroad.
Her approach to furniture making has caught the attention of several publications and has been acknowledged in Paper City Magazine, Texas Monthly Magazine, Arts, Antiques and Designers magazine, The Houston Business Journal, The Houston Chronicle and Houston Lifestyle magazine.
